Subtitle Dawn

Subtitle Dawn is a small software application whose purpose is to help you download subtitles for your movies using an automatic mode. It comes in handy especially if you have a large movie collection and you need to download subtitles in the desired language using batch processing.

Since this a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.

You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to grab subtitles in batch mode on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.

You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that allows you to carry out most operations with minimal effort. Files and folders can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support.

Subtitle Dawn gives you the possibility to build up a list with movies, delete the selected ones or all of them with just one click, as well as specify the primary and secondary languages for the subtitles that you want to grab from the Internet.

The downloading task can be triggered with just one click on the “Download Subtitles” button. The tool automatically processes all items included in the primary panel, and lets you know if the operation was accomplished successfully for each item.

By default, the tool downloads the subtitles in the same directory where the video is stored, and allows you to stop the downloading process.

During our testing we have noticed that Subtitle Dawn carries out a task quickly and without errors. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources.
