Softpedia Editor's Review for Subtitle Edit
|
You can use this software when you want to modify subtitles or synchronize them with the movies.
Written by Bogdan Popa on October 19th, 2011
Since so many people are nowadays watching movies on the computer, why not helping the community by creating a subtitle for the most popular titles?
If you really think that you’re up to the task, Subtitle Edit will surely lend you a hand.
Subtitle Edit is a downloadable Windows application that was specifically designed to help you edit and create subtitles and synchronize them with your movies without wasting too much time.
Downloading and installing this tool is indeed a simple thing to do because there’s nothing complicated after double clicking the installer.
Once the setup is complete, you’ll finally have the chance to see the clean interface Subtitle Edit has to offer and although it might seem a bit overwhelming at the first glance, everything is well organized into the main window.
While the subtitle you’re working on is displayed right in the middle, the main functions of the application are accessible either through the buttons located at the top or through the classic menu that includes them all too. Plus, there’s a settings menu for those who want to add a personal touch to the application, so yes, Subtitle Edit can be used by both beginners and experienced users alike.
Beside the basic synchronization and editing functions, the program also comes with an auto-translate feature that’s based on Google Translate, so it supports a lot of languages. We’ve tried a couple of them and everything worked like a breeze and pretty fast, which is another proof that Subtitle Edit is worth the money.
In fact, Subtitle Edit is worth the time because the application comes with a freeware license, so you don’t have to pay a dime to try it.
