VOB Cutter is a program with a pretty self-explanatory name - it allows you to split video files with the VOB format. It can be easily handled, even by less experienced users.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window and an intuitive layout. Video clips can be imported with the help of the file browser because the 'drag and drop' method is unsupported.
So, you can preview the video in a built-in media player, move a slider and trim the clip by marking the start and end position. Once you have specified the output directory and filename, you can proceed with the cutting procedure.
In addition, you can use basic media player tools, such as pause, stop and volume adjustment, play the selected area and navigate one frame at a time. Plus, you can load subtitles and change the aspect ratio, as well as adjust the audio delay, subtitle delay or speed.
The simple-to-use tool requires a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or popping up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues during our tests. The output videos have the original image and sound quality. Unfortunately, you cannot cut multiple pieces from the same video at the same time or set VOB Cutter to open the output directory after trimming.
