The interface of the program is clean and intuitive. Media files can be imported into the list via the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
So, you can use basic media player tools, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the clip and adjust the volume, as well as play the previous and next track.
Furthermore, you can load subtitles, switch to full screen mode, change the size, ratio and orientation of the image, adjust the play speed, jump to a particular frame, make image adjustments (e.g. brightness, saturation, contrast, gamma), and others.
The application runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Unfortunately, there is no help file available, which is a huge downside for novices.
Plus, you cannot configure the program's behavior (e.g. enable to automatically run at system startup). Also, the tool crashed once when we tried importing clips via the "drag and drop" method. Other than that, we strongly recommend FreeSmith Video Player to all users.
