KoolPlaya is a software with a simplistic appearance that allows you to play media files, including DVDs.

The interface of the application is familiar and has clean elements. You can import media by using either the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.

So, you can use basic media player tools, such as pause and stop, go to the previous or next track or chapter, navigate back and forth within the stream, adjust the volume and switch to full screen mode.

In addition, you can create a playlist, enable shuffling mode, view file properties, select the subtitle and audio stream, jump forward or backward, and set the playback speed.

Furthermore, you can go to a particular chapter, top, root, subtitle, audio, angle or chapter menu, jump to the start or end of the clip, set an inpoint and outpoint, change the aspect ratio and zoom.

But you can also set KoolPlaya to stay on top of other applications, minimize to system tray and to shut down the computer after the playback, open an audio track and take a screenshot.

In "Settings" you can allow multiple instances, set the process priority, screenshot directory and file type, enable KoolPlaya to remember the window position, change the interface language, set file associations, enable DVD subtitles by default, and more.

The media player uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, runs smoothly and no errors have occurred during our tests. Unfortunately, we were not able to access the help file (the option is not clickable).

All in all, KoolPlaya is an excellent media player that incorporates all the necessary elements and we highly recommend it to all users.
