SUM Player Free

SUM Player Free is a multimedia player with support for various video and audio formats and a few additional features that are not usually found in a tool in this category. Not only that you can use it to watch videos and play music, but it enables you to cut and convert videos, merge clips or reconstruct media files.

With a black-themed interface, SUM Player Free allows you to browse your computer in tree-view, displaying all the compatible files in a list, along with their size and date. The application can load both video and audio content provided a compatible decoder is installed. You can configure the decoding options and choose the filter you want to use for each file extension. SUM Player Free supports LAV Filters and Haali Media Splitter.

The player comes with basic playback control functionality to start, pause, stop, and jump to the next frame. It features keyframe controls and options to jump back and forth ten seconds throughout the video or audio file.

You can zoom in and out to check out details in a clip, speed up the playback, skip frames, and toggle the full-screen mode.

SUM Player Free enables you to change the video quality by adjusting the brightness, the contrast, the hue, and the saturation levels. The aspect ratio can be modified as well, and the image can be rotated or flipped.

SUM Player Free plays the video and audio content that LAV Filters is compatible with, which makes it versatile enough to match various users requests.

Aside from media playback and advanced controls, it comes with video cutting capabilities and allows you to merge media content, generating outputs in a variety of formats, namely MP4, MKV, MOV, 3GP, M4V, M2TS, and TS. And, with media reconstruction capabilities and other similar functions, it is safe to say that SUM Player Free is more of a media editor rather than a simple content player.
