TwonkyMedia Manager is a powerful application designed to help you manage your collection of audio, video and graphic files, organize and play them as you please.
TwonkyMedia manager streams your music, photos and videos to compatible devices in your home. Playing media on a compatible device is easy. Just drag and drop a media file or playlist onto the icon for the device. For example, if you want to play a slideshow of your favorite photos on your TV, simply drag the playlist onto the TV icon.
Creating playlists in TwonkyMedia manager is simple. And if you don’t want to create a playlist, you don’t have to. You can just drag entire albums, genres, or highest rated items and stream your music, photos and videos immediately.
Here are some key features of "TwonkyMedia Manager":
· Improved performance – Rewritten for improved performance. Multithreaded to be more responsive
NMC Support – Our Network Media Controller enables some important new features:
· Shared queues – Multiple users can view and edit the same queue at once.
· View the queue when shuffle is checked and move things around or delete items in a shuffled queue.
· Copy Feature – Right-click on any item in the Folder tree to copy it wirelessly to any media server on your network. This feature even works with wireless mobile apps like Twonky Mobile.
· Streamlined Layout
· The Now Playing screen has been merged with the main Manage screen
· View all players at once
· Each player has its own transport control and shuffle mode
· The queue for the currently selected device is visible on the main screen
· Edit playlists in the center part of the screen, which makes it easier to edit long playlists
· Access the server navigation tree from any view
· The Follow Me feature from TwonkyManager 2.0 has been simplified so that you can copy or move media queues to another device on the main screen
· New Thumbnail View – We’ve added a new view for all media types, which shows only album art or thumbnails
· Favorites – Create your own list of media bookmarks or favorites. This list can include any navigation tree headings, favorite artists, albums or genres. To add a navigation tree heading to the list of favorites, right-click on it and select "Add to Favorites"
· Show/Hide Headings – Hide headings in the navigation tree on the left by right-clicking on them and selecting Hide Item. Select Show Hidden Items to display all of the items you have hidden
· Show/Hide Server – Hide any of the media servers on your network. Right-click and select the Show Hidden Servers command to display all of the servers on your network
· Show/Hide Player – Hide any of the media players on your network. Right-click and select the Show Hidden Players command to display all of the servers on your network
· New drag and drop behavior – Dragging media into to the queue area will append it in the queue and not start playback. Dragging media to the renderer itself will clear the current queue and auto-play if the setting is set appropriately; otherwise, it will append and not auto-play
· Play on Selected Render – Double-clicking on an item in a queue should play it on the currently selected renderer
· Play on Selected Device – Right-click on all containers, media items and playlists and select the "Play on selected device" command to stream their contents to the selected player
· Save Queue – Save a queue as a playlist by clicking on the "Save As Playlist" button in the top of the Selected Player Queue. You can do this by right-clicking or by clicking on a save icon that looks like a Floppy disk
· Queue Key Commands – Added new right-click commands Copy Queue and Transfer Queue for each renderer. Using these commands will copy or transfer playback of one device queue to another
· Transfer Queue Button – Pressing this button displays a list of available players on your network. When a player is selected, the original queue will transfer to the newly selected player. Before, this was done on the Now Playing screen using the Follow Me command.
