WinX DVD Player
WinX DVD Player is a software that allows you to play DVDs, AVIs, MPEGs, WMVs and others.
The interface of the program is familiar. You can open a file by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.
So, you can use basic tools, such as play, pause, resume, volume adjustment, next or previous track, as well as navigate back and forth withing a video.
Plus, you can switch to full screen mode, loop the video, select a title, chapter, subtitle, audio or angle, zoom in and out, create bookmarks and playlists, take a snapshot and view TV channels.
In the "Setup" menu, you can adjust the brightness, contrast, hue and saturation of the video, change the aspect ratio and set the snapshot directory. But you can also switch to a different skin and create a favorites list from the TV channels.
The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and doesn't include any kind of user documentation or tooltips. Also, there aren't that many configurable options at your disposal and the video has a moving watermark that temporarily disappears when you toggle full screen mode.
All in all, WinX DVD Player is a good tool for viewing videos, but it definitely needs some improvements when it comes to the interface (the buttons could have been bigger) and functionality. Nevertheless, it is very easy to use by inexperienced individuals.
