TekWiFi is a tiny and lightweight application that you can use to monitor your WiFi connection. It addresses all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop TekWiFi on any location of the hard drive and run the executable file directly.
Otherwise, you can store the app on a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. This way, you can carry the utility with you whenever you're on the move.
More importantly, the Windows Registry section does not receive entry updates, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the app is represented by a standard window with an uncomplicated layout. Upon deployment, a list of all available wireless connections is automatically listed. It shows the WLAN name, type, authentication mode, cipher and signal level for each connection.
It is also possible to get a diagnostic on a selected network and find out its IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS, security details, together with accessibility details. From the Settings panel you can choose the wireless interface. Unfortunately, you cannot save all this information to the Clipboard or export it to file.
TekWiFi is low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory, has a good response time and immediately displays results. No error dialogs have been shown in our test and the utility did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout, TekWiFi should please the entire audience.
