Store more items in your clipboard, as well as screenshots you take, have them automatically saved to file, and more thanks to this practical utility. #Capture clipboard #Clipboard copy #View clipboard #Clipboard #Capturer #Capture
Writing on a computer is not only completely different from the pen and paper method, but it’s also incredibly more efficient. One aspect in particular is copy and paste, which is a default feature bundled into Windows. Although it can only store one entry at a time, different applications like Day Clipboard Utility can be used for better management and more space.
The good thing is that you don’t have to go through a setup process to make the application work, because it’s portable. As such, your PC’s health status remains intact because system registries are not tampered with, while you can also carry it with you on an USB flash drive to use on the go.
On the visual side of things, the application may look a little dull and outdated to some, but this simplicity makes sure you get the hang of things in the nick of time. Several fields let you manage text, while another feature is used to also capture screenshots. In spite of the level of simplicity, you get the feeling of a crowded interface that can create a bit of confusion at first.
The application is not only used to store more text entries, and can also be used for pictures, with the possibility to have them automatically saved as BMP pictures. However, in order for anything to work, you first need to enable automatic text an image capture, otherwise you need to manually insert text and images to store them there.
It can take a little while for text to reach this new virtual clipboard. When done, you can have it saved and opened again at any given moment to easily paste items of interest. Unfortunately, you can’t configure hotkeys for particular items to quickly insert large, standard forms, for instance.
A few other utilities can be found. Triggered from the homonymous menu item, these count as a digital clock, text converter, and quick notes. However, it can take more time to trigger and use them, also coming with rather limited features, and don’t provide much innovation since they’re already part of common text editors as default features.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Day Clipboard Utility comes with good intentions, but it lacks the motivation to successfully deliver its set of features as intended. With no hotkey assignment, Windows startup option, and general difficult layout, the overall process can easily become time-consuming, rather than an enhancement to your default clipboard.
