Paste As File is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping you export the Clipboard content to a file. It offers Windows Explorer integration for simplifying the entire process.

The utility boasts a clean and simplistic layout that offers only a few configuration settings to tinker with.

Basically, it proves to be extremely easy to work with this tool, as you only need to copy the text messages or images to the Clipboard and access the right-click menu for enabling the function “Paste as File.”

The program gives you the possibility to specify the filename and select the output format, namely HTML, PDF, RTF, plain text format, JPG, PCX, PNG, BMP, TGA, GIF, or TIF file format.

Additionally, you can make the tool clear the Clipboard content at the end of the task. By default, the application saves the file to the location where you have accessed the context menu.

Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool, even rookies can master the entire process with minimum effort.

During our testing we have noticed that Paste As File carries out a task very quickly, provides very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.

As it would be expected from a small utility, it doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.

To sum things up, Paste As File seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use application that offers only a few configuration settings for helping you save the Clipboard content to a file.
