Print multiple documents of custom formats from all subfolders inside a source directory, or simply generate reports which include paths and names. #Print folder #File printer #Print file #Print #Folder #Batch
Although there is a computer in nearly all office environments, many activities still rely on physical documents which are inevitably created on a computer and printed out. Having to print multiple documents at a time can be a pain, but not if you rely on applications like PrintMyFolders which scan entire folders and print custom documents.
Note that the application skips you the effort and time required to go through a setup process, so you can run it right after download. Registry entries are not modified, and you can carry, and even use it directly from a USB flash drive. You just need to make sure that the target computer is fitted with Java Runtime Environment.
Most of the interface represents the log, which by default shows a set of instructions to quickly get you up and running. Sadly, dropping a folder over the main window has no effect, so you need to rely on the browse dialog to make the selection. All files in the source folder and subdirectories are automatically added to the list.
There are two ways to the whole operation. On the one hand, you can choose to simply view content and create a report. This doesn’t require a connected printer, and only enlists all files in the chosen directory. The list can be sent to clipboard, or saved under a TXT or CSV report file. Sadly, the list only contains file paths and names.
On the other hand, you can choose to load a folder and configure the printing process. This brings up a few prompt windows requiring you to specify the file formats you want to print out, and whether or not to wait a specific amount of seconds in between. This can come in handy as a mass conversion option in case you’re using a virtual printer.
Bottom line is that printing multiple documents can be a pain, but PrintMyFolders greatly helps out by setting up necessary configurations to print multiple files of custom formats. It generates reports of processed files you can either send to clipboard or save for later processing.
