xCELLcolor is an addin for Excel that enables you to count and add cells by background or font color. Practically, the function that xCELLcolor uses can sum all the cells in a range with a specific background or font color).
The new function is called: "SumByBackgroundColor" and it is used as follows:
=_SumByBackgroundColor(A1:A9, A10). This will sum the data in the range A1:A9, where the background color matches that of cell A10.
