Calorie Counter is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping users find out information for more than 6000 types of food, such as carbohydrate, calories, protein, fat, saturated fat, sodium, cholesterol, fiber, and other useful data.
It sports a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to configure the dedicated parameters with minimum effort.
The program offers you the possibility to view the nutritional information for various types of food, such as baked or beef products, baby food, beverages, cereals, dairy and egg products, fast food items, fats and oils, vegetable, sweets, spices and herbs, pork and poultry products, and many other food items.
What’s more, you can perform search operations, sort data in an ascending or descending order, copy the selected information to the clipboard for pasting it into other third-party utilities, and delete rows.
Calorie Counter lets you undo your actions, use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process, customize the text in terms of font, font style, and size, as well as resize the columns’ width.
On the downside, there is no function for helping you perform a general search operation throughout the entire database, as you are allowed to look for food items in the selected category.
During our testing we have noticed that Calorie Counter carries out a task quickly, displays the information accurately, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
All in all, Calorie Counter offers a simple software solution for helping you check nutritional facts for a wide range of food types, and is suitable for all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
