Simple yet practical wizard interface
After the download process, you can launch the program and begin working with it right away, as it thankfully requires no prior experience with similar tools, due to the wizard-style interface.
All you need to do is follow the steps of utility and insert the proper information, being able to swiftly save the POIs on your device, a SD card that can be inserted into your GPS or even your PC.
Load your points of interest from data files into your GPS in just moments
For starters, you will need to choose the preferred ‘Save Options’, the available choices being ‘Garmin Device’ and ‘Computer’. The former will then attempt to detect the compatible device connected to your PC, while the later will prompt you to pick a destination folder for the generated items.
Subsequently, you will need to select the storage directory of the data files, browsing through your computer and inputting the proper path. You will be able to enter a name for the new POI file, as well as choose the preferred measurement units, between imperial (‘Feet and MPH’) and metric (‘Meters and KPH’).
At the same stage, you can select the work mode, either ‘Express’ or ‘Manual’, the first of which will automatically choose the appropriate settings according to the input files, this being the recommended option.
Finally, you can press the ‘Next’ button and Garmin POI Loader will process your data, informing of the success of the operation when complete and displaying the total number of points of interest that you have installed.
A useful POI installation instrument
To summarize, Garmin POI Loader is a reliable and easy to use application that provides you with an automatic means of loading POIs into your GPS system, allowing you to have all the necessary information at hand for whenever you are traveling.
