Remove Empty Directories
Remove Empty Directories has a pretty self-explanatory title. This is a tool that you can use to remove empty directories from your computer.
You should use this software when you get tired of searching for something on your system, only to get slowed down by empty folders. It definitely saves a lot of time.
The user interface of the application consists of an Explorer-based window in which you can select the directory you want to scan for empty folders.
The scanning is performed very fast, even on an entire volume. You can view results in a tree view, read a log file and on the right side of the window, you can analyze icon description (e.g. empty, contains "trash", hidden, locked, failed) as well as a color description (gray - will not be touched, red - will be deleted, blue - protected).
The deletion of empty folders can take from several seconds to several minutes. Don't worry - you can still find them in the Recycle Bin. So, restoring is possible, unless you change this default option.
In the Settings tab, you can select deletion mode, enable the program to skip system directories, ignore errors during deletion, ignore hidden folders or specified files or names, hide scan errors, integrate the software into the Explorer context menu, and more.
The program does a great job and takes up a low amount of system resources. We have not encountered any errors during our tests, so we definitely recommend Remove Empty Directories.
