uniKode for Tamil 1.00
You can use the virtual keyboard in case you study the Tamil language for improving your writing skills or whenever you chat with your foreign friends and send them emails.
You need to deploy the recommended .NET framework on your system in order to complete the installation process.
There’s not much to say about the GUI, as it delivers clean and simple looks. The Tamil letters are displayed on the virtual keyboard, along with some punctuation marks and dedicated buttons for “Space,” “Back” and “Enter.”
Additionally, there’s support for several configuration settings hidden under its hood. The main window of the utility can’t be resized, so you are stuck with the preset option.
How it works
Working with this program proves to be a piece of cake. You only need to open the software application where you want to input the Tamil characters, press on the corresponding buttons from the virtual keyboard, and data is automatically transferred into the target tool.
When it comes to configuration settings, you are allowed to pick the desired keyboard emulation method (send-it or copy-paste) and choose the input mode (only by click, be it right or left, or mouse roll-over).
Assessing its performance
During our testing we have noticed that uniKode for Tamil carries out a task pretty quickly. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
Where it falls short
The tool delivers only a simple Tamil keyboard, so it doesn’t include power features that may help you with your Tamil study, such as dictionary and grammar guidance rules.
All in all, uniKode for Tamil delivers a straightforward software solution for helping you work with a virtual Tamil keyboard, and is suitable especially for novices.
