Portable Gmail Notifier Pro

This is the portable edition of Gmail Notifier Pro. It puts at your disposal a user-friendly environment for setting up email accounts from multiple platforms (not just Gmail), and comprises an impressive range of features.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can move Portable Gmail Notifier Pro to a USB flash disk or removable device, in order to run it on any computer without prior installers. What's more, it does not add new entries to the Windows registry section, Start menu, or any other location on the HDD.

At initialization you can select the UI language and layout, after which you may start configuring the account types. The utility supports many platforms, such as Yahoo! Mail, IMAP/POP, feed subscriptions, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

Aside from general settings (e.g. description, email address, outgoing mail server), you can set up custom folders to monitor, as well as add signatures and sender identities.

The main window is divided into two main areas - for accessing email accounts and for reading or composing emails. Notifications are configurable when it comes to the time needed to display popups for each new mail or item, sounds, popup size, location and menu side, and others.

More options of Gmail Notifier Pro let you customize the UI theme and appearance, set up custom actions (on notification or custom commands), select the web browser to work with, schedule tasks, enable calendar reminders, and configure keyboard shortcuts, aside from editing proxy parameters and enabling a local RSS aggregation server.

The program uses a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and RAM, and has a good response time and refresh rate. We have not experienced any issues throughout our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Gmail Notifier Pro offers a highly intuitive workspace and wide array of customization preferences to please even picky users.
