Portable Fusion

Portable Fusion is a software utility which was designed in order to help individuals apply particular effects, so as to correct images taken at different exposure levels.

This is the portable counterpart of Fusion, meaning you can easily bypass the installation process. As a result, the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to be updated with new entries. Upon its removal from the hard drive, there will be no leftover files.

Aside from that, you should know you can use Portable Fusion on any computer you have access to, by simply dropping the program files to a portable storage unit, such as a USB flash drive and clicking the executable.

The interface is clear-cut and intuitive, meaning both power and novice users can find their way around it with great ease. It consists of a menu bar, several shortcut buttons and a large panel in which to view the uploaded image.

There are a few formats supported, namely RAW, JPG, TIFF and BMP. Batch processing is available, yet it is important to keep in mind that picures need to be of the same size. Items can be uploaded to the program, by using the appropriate button or the “drag and drop” function.

Images are shown in the main window, along with some information pertaining to them, such as name, ISO, resolution and FL. It is possible to rotate, crop and resize photos, align them (when batch processing), as well as use tone mapping and summation operators.

From the settings panel you can tweak output options (file format, name, action of the process button and quality), the size of preview images, histogram delimitation, and input and output color space.
