Screen2Avi Portable

Screen2Avi Portable is a lightweight application which allows you to capture your monitor's activity and convert it to the AVI format.

Since this is a portable software, installing Screen2Avi is not necessary. It means that you can place the tool on an external device, like a USB flash drive, plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will not be changed.

The interface of Screen2Avi is based on a standard window in which you can get started by selecting the video dimension (full screen, predefined or custom) and position (e.g. top left, center).

But you can also enable a background and configure audio and video parameters when it comes to the compression level, frames per second and others, as well as reconfigure keyboard shortcuts. Settings can be restored to their default values at any time.

The simple-to-use program requires a very low amount of system resources, has a good response time and manages to keep a good image quality in the output videos (although it had could been better). Unfortunately, there is no help file available. Screen2Avi is a pretty good software when it comes to capturing video and we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward application.
