Klumbu Word Portable

Designed as the portable counterpart of Klumbu Word, this is an intuitive and approachable word processor that comes loaded with a lot of interesting features, such as tags, permission management, and backups.

As long as you have .NET Framework installed on your PC, you don't need to set up anything else. It means that you can save the program files anywhere on the disk and just click the executable to launch Klumbu Word. It's also possible to save it to a pen drive to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort. Unlike most installers, it doesn't modify Windows registry settings.

Similar to Microsoft Word, the interface has a well-organized structure that enables you to seamlessly open a document or create a new one from scratch.

Standard text formatting settings are available, like changing the text alignment, emphasizing text, applying a strikethrough effect, writing subscript or superscript, customizing the font color, inputting numbered or bulleted lists, or inserting hyperlinks. You can find and replace keywords, create and remove styles, as well as insert pages, tables, regular or inline pictures, bookmarks, headers, footers, page numbers, page count, text boxes, and symbols.

As far as snippets are concerned, you can add tags or perform a search on Google, Bing, Yahoo!, eBay, YouTube, Blogger or Facebook. You can create and update a table of contents and add text, insert and update captions, put together a table of figures, check for spelling errors, protect the document with a password, and manage permissions. Undoing and redoing your actions is possible.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that Klumbu Word didn't hang, crash or display error messages. It had a good response time and minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM.
