Portable BruteBenchmark is a simple-to-use software application that enables you to run benchmarks on your computer's hardware to test the CPU, video card and HDD performance. As the name says, it doesn't require installation.

Portability perks

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can save the program files in any part of the disk and just click the executable to launch Portable BruteBenchmark.

Otherwise, you can move it to a removable storage unit to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort. Unlike most installers, it doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry.

Run different benchmarks and compare results

The GUI is user-friendly and allows you to dive into the configuration settings immediately. It's possible to set the benchmark duration (in seconds) and select the partition for HDD tests. Settings can be reset to default.

Tests may be separately run for the CPU, FPU, 2D and HDD. You may inspect results in another pane and select the device category to display them for.

This information can be saved to file or the program's database, and you can load two files to compare results. There are no other noteworthy options available here.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that Portable BruteBenchmark didn't hang, crash or display error messages. All in all, this software application offers a simple solution for testing your computer's CPU, FPU, 2D and HDD, and it can be seamlessly handled by anyone.
