Portable TopWinPrio

Portable TopWinPrio is a small and easy-to-use application designed to check regularly what windows are active and prioritize them based on users’ preferences.

This program is the portable version of TopWinPrio, developed to be opened from a USB flash drive or any other similar storage devices. It does not require an installation process. Plus, it does not leave remnants in Windows registry.

The tool's layout is split into three tabs that provide access to the priority list, application’s boost settings, and other general options. All available tweaks are displayed in each of the previously mentioned tabs, and no drop-down menus and other separate panels can be seen.

Portable TopWinPrio is essentially a lightweight utility designed to check your set of active windows periodically. When it finds a program that is mostly used, it gives it a higher priority than the rest, while the others have their performance reduced. If one of the background applications is brought back in 'focus,' it gets its priority raised again.

However, this tool does not override driver settings for your tools. A balance between resource assignment and overall priority is constantly being kept by Portable TopWinPrio so your computer’s performance is not affected. Entertainment applications, like games or other resource-hungry utilities, should not be targeted by this program since it may lead to lags.

Portable TopWinPrio can be set to launch at Windows startup and run in the background automatically, without having to start it manually when your operating system boots.
