BasicVideo VCL

BasicVideo VCL is a collection of components that can help users such as software developers integrate various multimedia-related components within their applications, including video capture, recording and playback. No source code handling is necessary.

Users can generate their applications with a supported software solution, such as Delphi or C++ Builder VCL, depending on their preferences. The components bundled in the pack include audio filters, audio generators, audio output components, converters, custom filters, DirectShow Audio output components, DirectShow Video output components, DirectShow Video source components, DirectShow support components, displays, generic generators, signal filters, video layers, matrix layers and control elements.

After including the components into their programs, users can perform various operations. For instance, they can capture video from several sources such as VCRs, DVD players, video cameras, camcorders, TV tuners or webcams, create their custom filters, capture screenshots from the video source and create video content using bitmaps.

Users do not need to be familiar with C++ or Delphi programming languages to create certain applications. For instance, generating a DirectShow-based video capture program only requires users to add components available in the BasicVideo VCL pack, set a series of properties for some of them, select a video capture device, connect a few output elements to their input analogues, and specify an output file.
