Yahoo! Messenger Spy Monitor is a powerful Windows application designed to help you record Yahoo Messenger conversations and take screenshots of the webcam based on user-defined parameters.
In essence a keylogger addressed to Yahoo Messenger users, the application is pretty easy to configure, but it's strongly recommended to check every option carefully to get the best results.
One of the best things about Yahoo! Messenger Spy Monitor is the so-called “Stealth Mode”, which is actually a separate feature of the program that launches it on Windows Startup, hides the uninstall entry in Add/Remove Program list and hides the installation folder. Plus, you can define a hotkey to call the program and a password to protect the software.
Additionally, you can configure an email account and automatically send emails with conversation logs to a user-defined address, while the tool also offers FTP support to upload the logs to a certain server.
A task scheduler is also available to start logging messages at a configured time, while reports can be compressed as ZIP or even deleted after they are sent to email or uploaded to a FTP server.
The capture screen utility lets you configure the interval to take new screenshots, the image quality and the maximum amount of archived images in order to save space on local disks.
Yahoo! Messenger Spy Monitor works with most new Yahoo Messenger versions and runs just fine on all Windows versions, without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7.
Overall, Yahoo! Messenger Spy Monitor is a tool that does its job and provides a great amount of features. Plus, its “Stealth Mode” is very effective and keeps the program away from unauthorized access.
