East-Tec Eraser maintains the privacy of your information by permanently deleting files and folders.

When you first initialize the program, you can use the Quick Start wizard's features to protect your system and Internet privacy, erase previously deleted files beyond recovery, and erase specific files and folders beyond recovery.

The software's user interface is intuitive. There are four major functions in East-Tec Eraser - Privacy Guard, Erase Deleted Data, Add Files and Folders, as well as Erase Files and Folders.

Privacy Guard is a tool that lets you erase important information from your Windows and Internet activity, as well as Windows files that you cannot access, in basic or advanced mode.

The basic mode is designed for first-time users only. You can only view the number of wiped files and registry entries, as well as the current file that East-Tec Eraser is deleting.

However, the advanced mode displays detailed information - Windows, browsers, applications, peer-to-peer, news and email readers, custom. So, you can manually select the areas you want cleaned.

Once the computer scanning is complete, it is recommended you reboot the system before applying deletion. In our case, there was only one Windows file where East-Tec Eraser could not overwrite security.

Erase Deleted Data can be used to permanently destroy all the files from the Recyle Bin, and you can eliminate deleted information on specific drives. Plus, you can wipe the unused disk space and the slack of existing files, as well as scramble deleted files and folders properties and the system transactions log file on NTFS drives.

Furthermore, you can use Risk Alert Monitor to view items targeted by Privacy Guard and Erase Deleted Data, securely erase the files and folders of your preference, adjust the security level, permanently erase files from emails, wipe an entire drive, schedule a task, establish priorities, use an entry password, import and export erase options, change automation, and more.

East-Tec Eraser does a thorough job in a reasonable amount of time, while using a moderate amount of system resources. We definitely recommend it.
