Hurby is a plugin-based private-data remover, a fact that makes it very flexible.
The main problem with cleaning private data is, that there are hundreds of programs out there for cleaning private data, but most of them just clear private data stored by a specific program.
That is very annoying, because you need dozens of separate programs to keep your system clean. The idea of Hurby is to break this down to one program with several plugins.
In most cases, it is not very hard to remove unwanted data from your system, most programs store this information in the registry or in ini-files.
The major intention was to create one software that cleans any kind of unwanted stored personal information such as MRU (most recently used) lists or search histories.
Currently there are 4 plugins in this package:
· Irfan-View recent files cleaner
· Total-Commander ini-file cleaner
· Virtual-Dub MRU cleaner
· Windows recent-documents cleaner
