Backup Master

Backup Master is a lightweight software application whose purpose is to help you back up your important data to external hard drive, network, USB disk, CD/DVD/Blu-ray or FTP server.

You are welcomed by a clean and simple design that allows you to set up the backup process in only three steps: pick the folders to monitor, select the backup type, and schedule tasks.

You can open the utility at Windows startup and run it in the background. There’s no support for a help manual, only a short description of the program’s features.

Backup Master gives you the possibility to select the drive that you want to scan. You can check out all files and folders stored in the selected drive via an Explorer-like panel.

What’s more, you are allowed to include subfolders, right-click on an item from the list in order to run the backup immediately, and calculate the folder size.

The program is able to automatically trigger the backup job upon a series of events, such as change of filename, size, folder name, attributes, and security.

Backup Master allows you to choose the preferred backup type, namely full, incremental or differential, exclude files from the backup based on custom extensions, and overwrite older backup files or use date/time suffix for backup items.

You may compress backups, password-protect data and pick the encryption algorithm, as well as choose the saving location, namely local file on your computer, external HDD or network PC, FTP server, CD/DVD/ Blu-ray or HD-DVD.

The application helps you back up data daily, weekly or monthly. You can make the utility automatically save files at a custom time interval (in seconds), create backups when the system is idle for a custom number of minutes, and show popup notifications.

All things considered, Backup Master delivers a user-friendly set of features for making sure you have an extra copy of your files in case you experience data loss or system crashes.
