Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator is an easy to use application that helps you recover Illustrator files quickly.

The interface of the program is a wizard with a necessary minimum of control elements. The first step of the wizard allows you to choose a damaged file the program will work with. To select a file, enter its full name and path into the field located in the center of the program window or use the standard Windows open file dialog.

Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator analyzes the structure of the file and recovers data from all available layers. The duration of this process directly depends on the speed of your computer and the size of the damaged file.

The last step is intended for the selection of the output file your data will be saved to. Please note that the saved file will not be PDF compatible and will not be compressed. To add compression or convert the file into the PDF format, use Adobe Illustrator. This step concludes the data recovery process.

Once the data are saved, the program will display a log of performed operations. After that, you can finish working with the program by clicking the Finish button. If you wish to continue the recovery process and select another damaged file, click Back to return to one of the previous steps.

If the file you are working with is damaged beyond recovery and the program fails to process it, you can email it to the program’s authors. To do that, use the Send file to developers button. The company’s employees will analyze the content of the file and try to recover it manually. After that, they will contact you and report on the result of their work.
