Folder Actions for Windows is an easy to use software that will enable you to perform different actions on files right after they are dropped in a folder.
The following actions are available: show a new file alert, copy or move files, convert image files, convert audio files, convert video files, compress or decompress files, perform user-defined action.
User-defined action is the most powerful feature. It will allow you to implement virtually any file processing using Windows batch (.bat) files. For example, it is possible to convert PDF to JPG using Ghostscript etc.
