SolidCopy

The Internet is filled with all sort of nice applications and programs that you could use in order to manage your files easily. One of such applications is SolidCopy.

It allows you to manage files on your computer and use some tools for organizing them. It sports a simple and lightweight graphical interface, but it could use some more features.

The application doesn't take long to install and ti doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It sports a lightweight and simple graphical interface that could use some more tools at hand.

SolidCopy allows the definition of source/target filesets and copy conditions, which are saved to configurable .scc files. Saved configs can be used to quickly specify complex filesets and are also used to implement automation.

Add files and folders to copy using the menu, buttons or by dragging files from Windows Explorer. If files are dropped on the Skip List button then they will go to the Skip List instead; they may also be dropped on the Skip List form directly.

Fine-tune each source entry if needed by double-clicking its listview entry or by clicking the Edit button with the entry highlighted. The property window that displays can be used to change or override any individual setting for the given source.

Settings can also be edited in a text-only view. This may be easier to navigate than all the UI components. The only caveat is that field sequence should be preserved. It comes with the option to scan or copy files.

The process may be paused, resumed or canceled along the way. Application options not disabled may still be used (possibly pausing the scanning/copy process). The Status tabsheet displays ongoing progress, and if the application is minimized status text will still appear over the notification area icon.

When the process completes a log is produced and displayed. SolidCopy is a very nice application that you could use in order to manage files on your system.
