Multi Folder Maker

Multi Folder Maker is a tiny application that enables you to quickly create empty directories in bulk. It lets you specify the naming pattern and decide how many folders to put together. The program doesn't integrate complicated options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users.

There is no setup pack involved, which makes Multi Folder Maker portable. You can drop the downloaded files in any location on the hard drive or on a USB flash disk, and just click the executable to launch the utility with minimum effort. An important aspect is that it doesn't make any changes to your Windows registry settings.

As far as the interface is concerned, it adopts a small window with a clear-cut look, where you can get started by indicating the saving directory for the new folders, along with a base name.

Automatic incrementation is used for the directory names, and you can preview results while tinkering with options when it comes to the amount of folders and the starting number.

Moreover, you can enter the total digits and the step (difference between numbers in any two consecutive directories). It's also possible to switch to alphabetical incrementation, include round, square or curly brackets, and add custom text.

As far as general preferences are concerned, you can integrate the app into the Explorer right-click menu, disable the window from staying on top of other frames, and set the current path as default on exit.

As we expected, the tool rapidly created the empty folders during our evaluation while remaining light on system performance.
