Softpedia Editor's Review for Auslogics Disk Defrag
|
Improve your computer's performance and stability
Written by Bogdan Popa on October 26th, 2011
The standard Windows Defragmentation tool is already a very handy utility but in case you’re looking for greater speed and more advanced features, it’s probably Auslogics Disk Defrag the name you’re seeking.
Although it’s supposed to conduct such an important task, installing the software solution is a very simple thing to do because it only requires a few seconds until everything is copied in the right place.
Its interface is simple and pleasant, which means there should be no problem when trying to start a defrag. You can first analyze a given hard disk to find out how fragmented it really is and only then start the process per se, thus saving a lot of time.
Not to mention that the entire procedure is pretty fast, much quicker than the one included in Windows.
Beside the common defrag operation, Auslogics Disk Degraf also comes with a bonus. It’s able to optimize the system for greater speed, a feature that, according to the developer, must be used once a week.
We’ve tested the app on multiple computers and although we haven’t noticed a major improvement in speed, we can confirm that defragmentation is done pretty fast.
All in all, Auslogics Disk Defrag can easily replace the defrag option in Windows and if you really need an alternative, this is the right tool for each Windows version out there.
