Boot Camp

NOTE: In case you are encountering issues installing Boot Camp on a Mac that doesn't officially support the version of Windows you are running, you can try launching the BootCamp.msi file with Administrator rights and in compatibility mode. To open an MSI file with Admin privileges, please download and run the Registry file available in the Downloads section.

Boot Camp Update is a software package that includes the drivers and applications required to run Windows on an Intel-based Mac computer. The package allows Windows to properly recognize and access the installed hardware.

Mac users that own systems with Intel hardware have the option of installing and running Windows by using Boot Camp. This utility is installed on OS X and allows you to prepare the computer for the Windows installation by creating the suitable partition.

However, Windows does not provide support for the Mac hardware and requires additional drivers in order to be able to use the installed camera or AirPort devices. This update allows you to quickly install the drivers without having to download and install them manually.

In order to use the package you need to copy the files to a USB drive by following the instructions included in the archive. If you are installing Windows on your computer for the first time, it is recommended to read the entire documentation as it describes the entire installation process.

If some devices are not working, you have the option to install the drivers manually by selecting them from the Drivers folder. However, the installer also includes a Repair feature that automatically detects the devices that are not recognized and re-installs the necessary components.
