Close all Windows 2.0
Unobtrusive running mode
The tool runs quietly in the system tray without interfering with your work. In order to access the program’s features, you are required to perform a right-click mouse operation on its icon from the system tray.
How it works
Close all Windows gives you the freedom to activate the Close all windows or Clean Clipboard mode and simply press on the utility’s icon for automatically executing the task.
The Clean Clipboard feature proves to be particularly useful especially when you copy text from web browsers that include different formats (font, color, size) into third-party tools, as clipboard data is automatically converted to plain text.
A few configuration settings to play with
There’s support for hotkeys which can be reassigned in order to close all windows and clean the clipboard. What’s more, you are allowed to enter a delay time between closing the applications, create a list with custom programs which are excluded from the process, as well as run the utility at Windows startup.
Tests have shown that Close all Windows carries out a task quickly and without errors. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not burdened.
To sum things up, Close all Windows seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a straightforward program that helps you close all active windows and clean the clipboard using just a click or hotkeys.
