FileBox eXtender

FileBox eXtender is a software application that adds some features to Windows so that you can navigate more easily between folders, create new ones, add folders and files to favorites, and so on. All of this is made possible by adding some buttons to the Explorer windows or by accessing the system tray.

When you will open an Explorer window, you will see on top a pin/unpin button. This will enable you to toggle between making a certain window stay on top of everything else or not. To the left of this button there will be another one that will allow you to hide the content of a window, minus the title bar.

The following button will make it possible for you to add certain folder to favorites, and thus, creating shortcuts, so that you can navigate more easily between the networks of folders that you have on your hard disks. And last but not least, you will find a button that will allow you to see the navigation history in Windows Explorer, starting from the last folder viewed.

When opening the application from the system tray, you will be allowed to customize the settings. For example, you can move the FbX buttons to the left, you can add folders or files to favorites or you can create hot key combinations that will open the favorites menu or the recent menu.

The interface of the FileBox eXtender is intuitive and very simple, reminiscent of the times in which the latest operating system was Windows ’98, but this also means that even if you do not know very much about computers in general, you will be able to understand how to work with this app.

Although FileBox eXtender has quite an outdated interface, it is still a very useful tool to have on your PC because it can really make life easier.
