With support for 32 and 64 bit operating systems, Process Notifier is a software program whose purpose is to aid people in receiving mail notifications when a specified process is found or closes.
Use it on the fly
Since this product is portable, you can easily skip the installation process. As a consequence, the Windows registry and hard drive are not going to be affected in any way, and traces are going to remain on the disk after its removal.
Most importantly, by moving the program files to a USB flash drive or other similar removable data unit, you make it possible to take Process Notifier anywhere with you and run on the fly by simply double-clicking the executable.
Non-obtrusive app and highly configurable options and notifications
This utility is non-obtrusive as it goes in the system tray from the first launch. You can track multiple items in the same time, as long as you provide the appropriate path and choose when to receive notifications (e.g. not found, closes, starts, found).
Moreover, e-mail settings can be configured. To be more precise, you have to input your address, customize the subject and message body, and attach a screenshot, while you can also use your own SMTP parameters.
The scan time interval is subject to change and you can also pause and resume the process with just a click of the button. Last but not least, you can enable or disable text logs and tray tip notifications.
To wrap it up, Process Notifier is a pretty efficient piece of software for tracking specified processes. The interface is user-friendly, the response time is good and the computer’s performance is not going to be affected at all. We did not detect any errors, hangs or freezes during our tests.
