Adobe Application Manager 8.0
A useful patch for a couple of errors that may impede users from downloading trial versions of Adobe software or updating the products
Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud products are currently made available through a specialized utility that facilitates the access to all trials and setup packages for the supported software.
In some cases, some error may occur and the users will no longer be able to reach the downloads or deploy the trials. For such unwanted events, Adobe Application Manager was created and it will take care of the issue and fix it automatically.
The patch was especially designed to take care of things in case one of the following error messages occurs: 'Adobe Application Manager is needed to update your product.' or 'Adobe Application Manager is needed to start your trial.'
There are no configurations to be made and upon launching the installer, Adobe Application Manager will be updated and made ready for use. From the main window of the program you will be able to choose to view all the apps or only the updates.
The installation kit for Adobe Application Manager may be considered a bit large in terms of size, while the time it takes to unpack and set in order all the necessary files and dependencies could be somewhat longer than one would expect from a simple patch.
Nonetheless, if you are faced with one of the above-mentioned errors, repairing the issues with Adobe Application Manager is a sure bet. The fact that it runs without having to adjust any settings in advance is a great benefit and, perhaps, the main strong point of this utility.
