Keyboard Locker 1.0.0
You can (un)lock your keyboard by pressing the left and right Ctrl key simultaneously
It comes in handy for multiple reasons. For once, you can prevent unauthorized users (especially the younger audience) from accessing your sensitive data with the help of the keyboard. Secondly, you can lock it whenever you want to clean the keyboard without turning off the computer.
As installation is not a prerequisite, it is suffice to drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it. On the other hand, you can save Keyboard Locker to a USB flash disk or other similar device, so you can run it on any computer seamlessly.
What's important to keep in mind is that portable apps do not work with the Windows Registry, thus preserving the integrity of critical entries. Plus, they do not leave files behind on the hard drive after removal.
At startup, Keyboard Locker creates an icon in the system tray area, from where you can toggle the keyboard lock status with the simple click of a button. The only functional key combination is Ctrl + Alt + Del, for emergencies (in case the mouse becomes unresponsive and you need to reboot the system, for example).
Unfortunately, Keyboard Locker does not integrate an option to assign a master password. However, it barely uses CPU and system memory, hence it doesn't affect the computer's overall performance. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the utility did not hang or crash. While taking into account that Keyboard Locker has not been updated for a very long time and that its functionality is quite limited, the utility performs its job on the fly, which is surely appreciated by users.
