Mozilla Firefox has already impressed us with its speed, so there’s no surprise that this browser is now installed on millions of computers from all over the world.
But some people desire even greater speed, so jumping into the hidden Firefox configuration options might have some very positive results.
If tweaking the browser manually isn’t exactly a thing to do for you, there’s always a second option. This time, this option is called Mozilla Optimizer and comes as a downloadable tool that optimizes the browser for greater speed.
In just a few words, older versions of Firefox could be manually tweaked by enabling HTTP Pipelining and Keep Alive functions, so that pages would be loaded even faster than in the standard versions.
Mozilla Optimizer does the whole thing automatically, so all you need to do is to actually press the apply button and you’re ready to go.
The setup process is minimal, so is the interface, if we can really call that simple window an interface. Using it is indeed piece of cake, because there are only a few options concerning the browsers you wish to optimize.
All in all, Mozilla Optimizer is indeed a great tool if you don’t like manually tweaking. And, to be completely honest, it looks like it’s really efficient as pages seem to load faster. Or is it the placebo effect?
