Network Cable and ADSL Speed 2003 Pro is a very easy to use Windows tool designed to help you optimize cable and ADSL connections to increase web browsing speed.
Although the interface is clearly not the best we've seen, the main window is being used not only to show information about the operating system, but also to present a bunch of details regarding the Internet connection.
For instance, you can see the total amount of received and sent data, alongside the current upload and download transfer rates.
There are three configuration modes at your disposal: you can optimize the network for a 50 percent or a 100 percent performance level, or just configure it for 100 percent stability.
Additionally, you can choose from a total of three types of configuration, which can be web surfing, games and downloads, each coming with its very own settings.
And speaking of settings, Network Cable and ADSL Speed 2003 Pro has dedicated options to configure the initialization files, buffer IRQ for PCI cards, processor and DirectX performance, buffer DMA for PCI cards, cache cable and ADSL speed.
Network Cable and ADSL Speed 2003 Pro doesn't seem to bring a significant speed boost, regardless of the settings you pick, and the application runs okay on most Windows versions. You need administrator privileges to make changes on a Windows 7 machine
Overall, Network Cable and ADSL Speed 2003 Pro is a handy piece of software that provides simple configuration settings and a basic interface, while remaining light on hardware resources all the time.
