SpeedOptimizer is an advanced Windows tool that optimizes your network settings and tries to boost Internet speed as much as possible.
Although it's especially focused on network connections, the app comes with a bit more than that, being able to also clean the Windows registry, optimize the operating system and control the startup items.
The main window sports a clean look that lets you pick “Cleaners”, “Windows”, “Networking” and “Startup”, each of these coming with its very own set of options.
The “Cleaners” screen can scan and fix registry errors, such as invalid file extensions, obsolete fonts, help files, invalid icons and other issues. Plus, it can clean temporary Windows and Internet files, obsolete backup files and orphan shortcuts.
If you go for the “Windows” menu, you can optimize Recycle Bin size, temporary Internet files folder size, disable Office indexing service and optimize desktop performance.
While the “Startup” tab has a pretty intuitive name, the “Networking” tool starts a wizard that helps you optimize network settings and increase Internet speed by following a few simple steps.
As you can see, SpeedOptimizer is quite an easy to use application, but in case rookies need assistance on one of the available features, there's no help file to provide support.
But while it indeed offers some handy utilities, SpeedOptimizer remains a basic software solution, as the market is already full of similar applications designed to optimize both the network and the other areas of a system. It deserves a chance though, mostly thanks to its user-friendly approach.
