Quicksys RegDefrag 2.9
Starting the defrag operation
The interface is clean and simple to navigate through. There are only three steps you need to follow - analyze the registry, review statistics and perform the defrag task.
During the scanning process, you cannot access other open applications. When it is finished, you can view the current registry size, new one and the size difference.
Create a backup, generate reports and tweak other settings
Before defragmenting your registry keys, Quicksys RegDefrag automatically creates a system restore point, just in case something goes wrong afterward.
Once the job is done, you can generate an HTML report with defragmentation data, as well as restart the computer to apply changes.
In addition to that, you can get registry information, such as file paths and size, as well as access the "Options" menu to disable Quicksys RegDefrag from automatically checking for updates and creating system restore points before defragmentation. Also, you can change the interface language.
Performance and conclusion
The program uses a moderate amount of system resources and did not pop up any errors during our tests. Unfortunately, there is no Help file available.
Quicksys RegDefrag takes a while to scan your registry items yet delivers the results it promises. We certainly recommend this tool to all users, whether they are beginners or experienced individuals. For those interested in bypassing the installation process, you should know that a portable counterpart is also available, called Portable Quicksys RegDefrag.
