All Programs

All Programs is a simplistic piece of software that can be installed on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 computers to display a minimalistic version of the classical Start Menu. It's dedicated to users who are not satisfied with the Windows 8 Start Screen or the new Start Menu of Windows 10.

Installing this program doesn't take long and there's no special configuration involved. On the other hand, you should make sure that the .NET Framework from the built-in set of Windows features is turned on or it won't work properly.

Once setup is over, All Programs creates an icon in the taskbar, which shows the Start menu on click. It has a minimalistic appearance and doesn't contain any graphical elements, preferring to focus on delivering quick access to various tools.

It's possible to visit the Control Panel, launch installed applications, as well as access Windows features, such as administrative tools, startup entries, PowerShell or other system tools like Command Prompt, File Explorer, Task Manager, and Windows Defender. There are no other notable options provided by the application.

Although the software application hasn't received updates for a considerable amount of time, it worked smoothly on Windows 10 in in our tests. It had minimal impact on the computer's performance and responded to commands quickly. Unfortunately, it comes packed with a pretty weak set of features.

For example, it doesn't have an option implemented for customizing the Start menu with elements of your own. Also, it's not possible to change its position on the screen or to set a keyboard shortcut for opening the menu (instead of clicking the All Programs icon in the taskbar).

On top of that, it shows quick access to only a handful of Windows utilities. All aspects considered, All Programs has a long way to go before it can be considered a practical and customizable Start Menu utility.
