Scans the critical areas of your computer and fixes problems, which supports a backup and restore service and uses low system resources
After a quick and uneventful setup operation that does not require too much experience from the user, you are welcomed by a standard interface with a plain layout, where you can initialize the scanning procedure by clicking a button.
PC-Repair covers some critical areas of the system, such as custom controls (missing COM, DLL and OCX components), the drive cleaner (unused temporary files), installed software (missing software applications) and Windows system fonts (missing items).
The scanning procedure may take a while to finish, depending on the size of your hard drive, but it automatically fixes the PC as well. During this time, the program runs on a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and RAM. In other words, you can regularly carry out your normal activities on the computer, as Windows does not slow it down.
It is also possible to customize the scan mode by specifying the type of problems to look for, as well as to view system information (e.g. language, number of processors, system directory, time zone). PC-Repair supports a backup and restore service, so you can roll back any changes if the OS starts experiencing errors.
Unfortunately, PC-Repair has not been updated for a very long time, and you might experience some stability issues running it on newer Windows platforms.
