New in Embarcadero DBArtisan 9.7 (Feb 20, 2015)
- PostgreSQL Support:
- This release introduces support for PostgreSQL datasources, PostgreSQL version 9.3 and higher. Connectivity is available with the PostgreSQL ODBC Driver (version 9.02 minimum) or with the pre-packaged PostgreSQL JDBC Driver. Functionality as of the current release is as follows:
- Standard datasource registration and connection features
- Command line startup option
- Limited Datasource Navigator/Explorer tree functionality
- Object types available are Databases, Check Constraints, Domains, Exclusion Constraints, Foreign Keys, Functions, Indexes, Primary Keys, Schemas, Roles, Rules, Tables, Tablespaces, Triggers, Types, Unique Keys, and Views.
- Drop and Extract object actions are available for all supported object types. Object type-specific actions, such as Rename, Select * From, Change Owner, and Change Schema are available for some object types.
- SQL Editor execution against PostgreSQL datasources is available. Also available are related, common SQL Editor tools such as Query Options.
- Backup Analyst Support Discontinued:
- As of this release, the Backup Analyst feature is no longer supported.
