DameWare NT Utilities (DNTU) is an enterprise system management application for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista which allows Administrators to go beyond the limitations of Microsoft's Management Console (MMC). DNTU provides an integrated collection of Microsoft Windows NT administration utilities, incorporated within a "easy to use" centralized interface for remote management of Windows Servers and Workstations. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 6.0.0.0:

* Added support for Windows Vista (32 & 64-bit)

* No protocol revision. Will not require automatic upgrade to Client Agent on remote machine if Client Agent is 5.0 or above. However, we strongly recommend you upgrade the Client Agent on the remote machine to version 6.x as well. Otherwise much of this new functionality will not work properly, especially anything in relation to Vista. This can easily be done via the "File / Update Client Agent" menu option after you connect.

* New MSI package (DWRCS32.MSI) for the installation of the MRC Client Agent Service (32-bit only at this time).

* Automatic configuration of Windows Firewall (TCP port used for communication only).

* Automatic installation of drivers.

* New & Improved Proxy functionality.

* Enhanced functionality for 64-bit Operating Systems (XP, 2003, & Vista).

* Exclusive new Quick User Switching feature.

* Various additional performance enhancements.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 5.1.1.6:

* Improvements to Disk Drives & Shares Views.

* Miscellaneous internal enhancements.

* Rare occurrence in Win2k Server where Active Directory

* Locked Out Account Flag not displayed properly. Fixed.

* DMRC No protocol revision. Will not require upgrade to Client Agent on remote machine if Client Agent is 5.0 or above. But we recommend that you upgrade the Client Agent on the remote machine as well. **(Can easily be done via new "File / Update Client Agent" menu option)

* Improved functionality for (Temporary) entries.

* Improved functionality for Simple File Transfer (SFT), when trying to access Local Network Share.

* When storing settings for the Client Agent Service in the Registry vs. in the DWRCS.INI file (via the "Use Registry for all settings" feature), customizations to the text displayed within the "Notify on connection" dialog were not saved correctly. Fixed.
