  • New version helps administrators to automate batch MP3 Skype recorder Pro Edition license activation by adding register key ActivationKey to users' computer Windows' registry. This can be done remotely if you have domain administrative privileges.

New in MP3 Skype Recorder 6.1.4 (Sep 27, 2020)

  • Version 6.1.4 adds backwards compatibility with older version of Skype app. Despite being updated automatically some users may still have older versions of Skype app. Previous version of MP3 Skype recorder v6.1.3 had problems recording these outdated versions. We decided to add backward compatibility, though it will not save contact details for the calls. We strongly recommend to update your Skype anyway.

New in MP3 Skype Recorder 4.50 (Mar 12, 2019)

  • Microsoft Teams desktop app recording were added to the latest version of MP3 Skype recorder. Lately Microsoft started to transfer Skype for Business user to Microsoft Teams.
  • Note! You need to run Microsoft Teams desktop app not Microsoft Team web app in browser if you want to record it with MP3 Skype recorder.
  • To be done: Call data (e.g. participant names) for Microsoft Teams application are not added to recording metadata at the moment. We are working on solution for this.

New in MP3 Skype Recorder 4.48 (Oct 25, 2018)

  • Done: Saving call data for Skype App 8.33.0.41
  • Fixed bug: In rear cases wrong call data was applied. It might be taken and saved from previous unanswered call or call answered on another device. It is fixed now.

  • New recorder has lots of major internal changes:

  • New fully automatic detection of audio devices to be recorded.
  • We decided to apply a "fair use" policy for free usage. You can record up to 30 hours in any consecutive 30 days (Average 1 hour a day). Older records are not counted.

  • Recently Skype released completely new Skype for desktop for Windows 8. Previously known Skype for desktop is now named Skype classic. New Skype for desktop has a look and feel more like Skype app for Windows 10. It is little bit confusing with all these Windows' versions of Skype client.
  • We are recommending to use Skype classic with MP3 Skype recorder. Skype classic has API as successor of old versions of Skype. API allows recorder to eliminate delays while detecting start and end of call. Unfortunately when you are downloading Skype from Skype.com you getting Skype for desktop or Skype app depending on OS version. To download Skype classic you have to go to https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/ and click on the down arrow of download button to list the options and select Skype classic
  • - There are some improvements in MP3 Skype recorder user interface. Now you can see microphone and speakers set for recording. You can turn off automatic detection and select audio devices manually. This can be handy for users with multiple audio devices connected to PC.

  • Important update matching changes in Skype app for Windows 10
  • Support for Skype app 12.*** version. Currently most of users are still on 11.*** version of Skype app for Windows 10. New version is introducing some internal changes. You have to update MP3 Skype recorder to the latest version 4.35 if you are using Skype app. Skype desktop version users are OK.
