Onis Changelog

What's new in Onis 2.5.1.6 Build 2.5.1.6.20131004

Oct 10, 2013
  • Series Synchronization:
  • ONIS is using a completely new synchronization system for the series. You can now synchronize the series by page, slice ID or slice position, in an absolute or relative manner. You can quicky select the views you want to be synchronized, from any monitor.
  • Window Level, Position, Rotation and Zoom synchronization:
  • The window leveling, position, rotation and zoom could be propagated to all the images in a series. With ONIS, any of those parameters can also be propagated to the other series automatically.
  • Snapshots:
  • You can now crop any image and send it to the current report, the capture box or the windows clipboard. Only a part of the image can be sent, and of course, if the image contains annotations, they will be there too!
  • Report History Preview:
  • With ONIS, you don’t need anymore to go to the report page to visualize the reports of a patient. You can stay in the viewer page and just in one click view any of the existing reports.
  • New Opacity table Editor:
  • You can now create advanced Opacity Tables with ONIS. You can define precise curves using tangeants.
  • Monitor Opacity table:
  • You can now calibrate each of your monitors with an opacity table.
  • Customize the apperance of the worklist:
  • You can now modify the worklist font as you want. If you feel more confortable with a bigger font, no problem!
  • Image Backup:
  • Using the Auto-routing settings, you can now define a backup rule. Doing this, ONIS will automatically backup your images to a DICOM server. From the worklist, you can see the status of the backup of any of your studies. In case of error, you can re-send any studies, series or images to the backup module anytime.
  • Others:
  • The institution name is now displayed in the worklist.
  • You can filter the studies using the patient birthday.
  • The images attached to the reports can be compressed before storage.
  • SR documents can be store and can be retrieved (but cannot be opened).

New in Onis 2.4 (Aug 30, 2013)

  • Image Histograms:
  • ONIS can now display the histogram of any monochrome DICOM image! Rescaling and value range customizations can be operated on them.
  • Region of Interest Histograms:
  • Additionally to the image histogram, ONIS can calculate the histogram of any region of interest. Rescaling and value range customizations can be operated as well.
  • Non-Rectangular Image Support:
  • The native format of some images is not rectangular. Pixel Padding Value is used to pad non-rectangular images to rectangular format. ONIS now takes this pixel padding value in account for displaying non rectangular images and for calculating the region of interest statistics (area, min/max, standard deviation, etc.)
  • HTML template reports:
  • Now, ONIS uses HTML templates for creating reports. You can customize your reports in any way you want, adding your logo or hospital name. You can even customize your reports depending on the modality.
  • Report file attachments:
  • You can attach additional files to your reports. You can add files of any kind, from a PDF to a voice memo or even a movie.
  • Voice memos:
  • When you create a report, ONIS offers you the possibility to record one or more voice memos. They will be automatically included in your reports.
  • Study review flag:
  • From the database window, you already can change the status of a study (reviewed or unread). Now, you can modify this status from the viewer window, using a keyboard shortcut.
  • Additional features and Bug fix:
  • Many small additional features has been added to ONIS (default study filter, additional shortcuts...), the list would be too long to be written here. From the big numbers of downloads and thanks to you and your reports, ONIS is now more robust than ever. Multiple bugs have been taken care of.
