PageFour Changelog

What's new in PageFour 1.87

Mar 26, 2015
  • Minor Release, addresses some issues with the Import process. Importing Notebooks or rolling back to an archive, in some circumstances caused the sort order of the pages and folders to be lost, resulting in a default alphabetical sort order being imposed on Notebooks. This has been corrected, but only for new imports or roll backs.

New in PageFour 1.84 (Aug 23, 2012)

  • A minor release to connect PageFour with the new SmartEdit. An option on the Smart-Edit menu allows you to launch the new, stand-alone software from within PageFour for the currently open page. You must have SmartEdit installed for this option to be enabled - details below.
  • This new option works by closing the page within PageFour, and opening it in SmartEdit. The same file should not be open in both applications at the same time.

New in PageFour 1.83 (Jan 2, 2012)

  • A minor release to fix Import Dialog issues for Windows 7 users running large font displays.

New in PageFour 1.81 (Aug 3, 2011)

  • Archive storage increased to 500.
  • Snapshot storage limit increased to 100 days.
  • Data folder location change now creates a 'pagefour' sub folder in the destination folder before moving files.
  • Print Templates: Option to exclude headers and page numbers from the first PageFour printed page.

New in PageFour 1.70 (Mar 20, 2009)

  • Version 1.70 comes with changes to the PageFour license agreement. Prior to v1.70, each PC on which PageFour was installed needed to have a separate license. This has now changed to allow for either a single PC with multiple users, or multiple PCs with a single user, and means that users working on more than a single PC do not now need to purchase a second license.
  • Further changes in this version include the following:
  • Support for the MS Word DOCX format when importing.
  • Changes to the Import Dialog: A folder within a Notebook can now be selected as the import destination, and the ability to quickly paste the import location rather than navigate the file tree is now allowed.
  • Major Bug Fix: Crashes had occurred when Unicode characters were selected in the Word Processor. This affected users writing in Chinese and Japanese languages, and has now been fixed.
  • Major Bug Fix: For a small number of users the Import Dialog failed to open. This is now fixed, and should not recur.

New in PageFour 1.65 (Nov 11, 2007)

  • New Page and New Folder buttons will now remain active, even when the tree is not in focus.
  • The current open page in the word processor will always appear highlighted in the Notebook tree, making it easier to navigate pages. The only exception is if the current page belongs to a Notebook that is not open.
  • The reason for these changes is to make it easier for new users to understand how PageFour is structured, and to eliminate any misunderstandings about where your new pages or folders are being created.
  • Minor bug fix whereby certain Quick-Insert shortcuts changed line spacing settings in error.

New in PageFour 1.63 (Aug 29, 2007)

  • Bug Fixes.

New in PageFour 1.61 (Aug 10, 2007)

  • Version 1.61 is an interim release, consisting of fixes for 2 bugs reported by users. The first corrects inconsistencies in the background colour of the word processor when the chosen colour is not white, and the second corrects an error in screen position when PageFour is used on a PC with dual monitors.
  • Existing users should be aware that if neither of these scenarios are relevant to the way they use PageFour, there is no reason to download or install the interim release.

New in PageFour 1.60 (May 30, 2007)

  • This release includes major improvements to the Searching ability of PageFour (across Notebooks), a new Merge Pages feature, handling of Smart Quotes for the first time, and many other minor enhancements and bug fixes.
